SALON SUCCESS STORIES

“Incredible school! I completed my apprenticeship here 17 years ago and now I send all of my apprentices here. Fantastic communication between school, apprentice, and salon.”
Laura Hudson

OWNER OF HUDSON HAIR

“In 2019, I changed my salon apprentices over to MIG Training as their dedicated RTO. The decision was one based on what I was seeing MIG do for the industry and apprentices, especially in relation to the Brisbane Hair & Beauty Expo, the courses offered at the college, and word of mouth reviews from industry colleagues. I honestly felt like my apprentices were missing out by not going to MIG.
Since changing over, I have been nothing but impressed. Our in-salon trainer is extremely supportive of the standards we have set for our brand and works with us to apply the RTO requirements in line with that. I’m the first to admit I had never fully appreciated the RTO and salon relationship before, but now I trust the partnership I have built with MIG and moving forward, I have enrolled my apprentices to attend the College one full day each month – something I never would have done before.
I have great respect for what MIG does for my salon and the industry, and what Anthony and his team of dedicated trainers have built.”
Kristie Kesic

OWNER OF COBELLE CREATIVE

“At Epic Hair Designs, we have tried many Brisbane hairdressing schools and MIG has been the best by far. Apprentices have plenty of clients to practice on and the trainers have the right skills to be able to teach good hairdressing practices. I highly recommend MIG for a salon that wants to grow and a salon that wants the best apprentices.”
Brendon Mann

OWNER OF EPIC HAIR DESIGNS

WHAT OUR STUDENTS SAY…..

MIG Alumni #2989 – Simone Smith

MIG Alumni #2868 – Abigail Donaldson

AHIA Apprentice of the Year 2021 – Paige Cameron

“I am at MIG because of the flexibility in the training. I work for myself so it allows me to come and have flexibility in my learning program. It is all tailored individually, so you can go as fast as you want or you can take your time on certain things, The fact that there are so many different teachers means we get to learn the same thing several different ways and then you find out what works best for you. Also the salon environment that is created here feels like you are working in a real salon. MIG works for me and it’s the best choice I have ever made!”
Katrina Anger

“I have been coming to MIG for two years now. I really enjoy the training facilities and since the massive renovations, the space has just opened up and the natural light just floods in. It’s so good! We have a really diverse range of clients so we get a lot of different training opportunities, especially with the fresh street appeal. We get a lot of new walk ins. I also really like the teachers here. There’s a teacher for everyone, so you can find someone that you really get along with and  learn well from them. I love coming here!”
Brittany Ahern

I started my journey as a hairdresser with Mel by my side from the start. Her constant support & encouragement throughout my apprenticeship was amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better assessor than her. I am so so grateful so have met her & have built such a great friendship with her throughout these 3 years. I bloody love ya Mel, my fave always 😉

I came here for the first time. And loved it. Only got a hair cut. Was allowed to bring in my baby.
Just allow plenty of time. As my hair cut took a longer time than usual. It is a training place. So keep that in mind.
My hair feels so good after a wash and cut.
Very good experience.

Thankyou so much Neil and the team. You made my visit to your salon such a nice relaxing experience. In fact a day that started off a bit miserable turned into a lovely day. I appreciate both your skill and kindness.
Neil is such a wonderful hairdresser as well as a lovely man.
